Emily Irene VanCamp initially aspired to be a professional performer however, she became intrigued following a visit to Katie at the Ladies Room film set. When she was taking acting classes, she also landed the roles of guest stars on TV programs. Her appearances have been in a number of programs, including Are You Afraid Of The Dark? Radio Active and Dice. VanCamp made a breakthrough in his career after being cast as regular Sam Dolan on the WB Horror Mystery show Glory Days. Even although the show had received excellent reviews, it was cancelled after only 9 episodes because of its low ratings. The 12th of May, 1986 actress was quickly offered a second part in Everwood. The character she plays Amy Abbott is one of the principal characters. Her role in the film was rewarded with four Teen Choice Awards nominations and a Young Artist Award.
